I saw their starved lips in the gloam,
With horrid warning gaped wide,
And I awoke and found me here,
On the cold hill's side,
Back •'starved' contrasts with appetite imagery => warning social boundaries are stopping us from being fulfilled 
-Or pervading social boundaries leaves us starved?
-Is sexual love toxic? Or are humans too greedy + thus always dissatisfied?
-Is this even realistic to human relationships at all given knight + fairy mythical union 
-Because she's a fairy and not a woman, could be a metaphor for desire of something else?
