Analogy N Similarity Parallelism Well Known Compares Body's Immune

Analogy means similarity or parallelism. A common analogy compares the body's immune system to an army, but analogies are useful only up to a point.

Analogie est une similarité ou un parallélisme. Une analogie bien connue compare le système immunitaire du corps à une armée. Les analogies sont utiles, mais on ne peut pas les pousser trop loin.

Word analogy
Part of Speech N.
Definition similarity; parallelism.
Sentence A well-known analogy compares the body's immune system with an army whose defending troops are the lymphocytes or white blood cells.  Analogies are useful, but you can't take them too far: cells, after all, are not soldiers; there is no boot camp for lymphocytes.
