Text What are chloroplasts?

Found in some plant cells

Where photosynthesis takes place

Has 2 stages:

Light dependent stage

- Chlorophyll absorbs light energy
- for ATP and NAPDH to drive the second stage
- occurs in the thylakoid

Light independent stage

-uses energy made in first stage
-to convert CO2 to sugars
-requires enzyme control reactions (calvin cycle)
-takes place in the stroma
