vocabulary简明 Order is the formal arrangement of things — putting that pile of paper on your desk into neat stacks of bills, papers, letters, to-do lists and napkin poems.
vocabulary扩展 Order has many meanings. You can put a line of people in order from tallest to shortest, or from youngest to oldest. As a very, order also means command: Talk out of turn in court and the judge will order you to be quiet. In a restaurant you give the waiter your order, which is what you want to eat, not your idea of how to organize the pantry. An order is also a group, like the Freemasons or the Order of St. Benedict.
