vocabulary简明 A person who believes one race is better than another is racist. Racists discriminate against other races.
vocabulary扩展 If you believe one race is superior, you are racist. In this country, given our history of slavery and discrimination, racist behavior almost always centers on white/black relations, but you can be racist toward any race. Individuals can be racist, but it's much more harmful when businesses, laws, and governments are racist. A racist person can do some damage, but a racist government can do far worse, as in the cases of slavery in America or Apartheid in South Africa.
