| Back | Priests or ministers of any religious denomination or sect, or civil authorities who shall perform or authorize any illegal marriage ceremony shall be punished under the Marriage Law. • Art. 352 presuppose that the priest or minister or civil authority is authorized to solemnize marriages. If the accused is not authorized to solemnize marriage and he performs an illegal marriage ceremony, he is liable under Art. 177 (usurpation of authority or public function). |
