Ulice Accusative Nouns žena Change Ending Pattern Applies

Front Accusative - feminine nouns (žena and ulice patterns)

Czech nouns change dependent on the case. There are a number of declension patterns.

The "žena" (woman) pattern applies to feminine nouns ending in the letter -a.

The "ulice" (street) pattern applies to feminine nouns ending in the letter -e.

Decline žena, ulice and voda (water) for the accusative case, singular and plural.
Back
nominative → accusative

žena → ženu
ženy → ženy

ulice → ulici
ulice → ulice

voda → vodu
vody → vody

As you see, there is an ending change between nominative and accusative cases in these patterns, but only in the singular, there is no change for plurals.
