Make Passive Made Voice Action True Present Form

We often use the passive voice when we want to talk about an action rather than the person or thing performing the action. We do this when it doesn't matter who does the action. In this example, we describe the process that is always true - the recipe for cookies; for facts that are always true, we use the present simple. We form the passive of the present simple with am/is/are + the past participle. In this example, the subject is expressed with the noun in the plural form (cookies), which is why we form the passive of the verb 'make' in the plural: are made.
