TRAVELLING BY BUS
You can get on or off
a bus at a bus stop and the place where most bus routes start is the bus station. The bus
driver will probably take your fare and give you your ticket, or there
may be a conductor who collects the fares. You can buy a single or a return ticket. A bus pass allows
you to travel in a particular area for a fixed period of time. In British
English a comfortable bus used for long journeys is called a coach. Note that we travel on the bus or by bus:
‘How do you get to work?’ ‘On the bus.’
