friends. A common informal word for friend is mate:
I'm going out with my mates.
Friendly people get on well with lots
of people. They usually find it easy to make
friends. If you and a friend are very close, you can chat about anything. Even
if you don't see each other very often, you can keep in touch (for
example by phone or email). When you meet up/get together again, you can catch up
on each other's news.
