HOLIDAYS
You can choose your holiday from a brochure and book it at a travel agent's or, more often, online. Some people do a lot of sightseeing when they go on holiday (US vacation). They look round historical buildings and take photographs. Others prefer to sunbathe on a beach and go swimming or snorkelling. Many people go on a  package holiday (US package tour) which is organized by a company, and they pay a fixed price that includes their travel, accommodation, etc. They might stay in a large hotel in a holiday resort. Other people go backpacking, go on safari, or go on a cruise. Most people like to buy some souvenirs before they go home.
