FEELING ILL
If
you are suffering from an illness, you feel ill (US sick). If you have a fever, for example when you
have flu, you have
a high temperature.
If you catch a cold, you will
start sneezing.
You might also have a cough and a sore throat. If you come down with chickenpox or measles, your skin is covered
in red spots. If you
become ill when you eat, touch or breathe sth that does not normally make other
people ill, you have an allergy, for example hay
fever. You might come out in a rash. A disease that moves
easily from one person to another is contagious or infectious. If your illness is not serious, you will quickly get better. When
somebody is ill we usually wish them Get well
soon!
