MONEY
You
can save money in
a bank account,
and this money is called your savings. You can spend cash to buy things, or you can write a cheque. If you use a debit card, the
money comes straight out of your bank account. If you use a credit card, you pay
later. If you have a cash card (US ATM card), you can
withdraw
money from your bank account at a cash machine. If you spend more money than is in your account, you are overdrawn.
Some
people invest money,
for example in the stock market, and make a fortune. People who have a lot of money are rich/wealthy, and someone who
often gives money away, for example to charity, is generous.
