Episode Title Describing a Musical Performance
Phrase to fault (someone)
Text In this podcast, the phrase "to fault (someone)" means to say that someone did something wrong or to say that someone is not very good at something: "They faulted Gregorio for the company's slow sales, saying that he wasn't doing his job well." If something is "someone's fault," it is a bad thing that happened because of something that person did or didn't do: "Do you think it's the parents' fault if their children are overweight?" Or, "She is mad at me, but it isn't my fault!" Finally, a "fault" can be something that doesn't work correctly in a machine: "If there is a fault in your computer, you can take it back to the store where you bought it and ask for a different one."
