A "forum" is also a meeting where people can discuss something in public: "The university invited famous scientists to participate in an interesting forum about global warming." Or, "The mayor's office is organizing a special forum where local business owners can discuss the city's business development plans." Finally, in ancient Rome, a "forum" was an outdoor place that was used for public discussions: "What would it have been like to be in a Roman forum with Julius Caesar?" |
