The phrase "hot off the press" refers to information that has just been made public, as in a newspaper that has just been printed: "Wow, take a look at this article, hot off the press!" Finally, a "hot topic" refers to something that many people are talking about and that is a subject of debate or disagreement: "Global warming is a hot topic for island nations." |
