When talking about people, "to interact" means to communicate and form relationships with other people: "Going to college presents a great opportunity to interact with people who have different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds." Or, "How have cell phones changed the ways in which people interact with each another?" Finally, the verb "to counteract" meant to act in opposition to or against something: "What can we do to counteract the rising crime rates?" |
