Text The phrase "to recall (something)," in this podcast, means for a company to officially say that one of its products is dangerous and should no longer be sold, and to take back those products from people who have already bought them, usually giving them a replacement product or returning their money: "A house fire was caused by an electric heater that wasn't working properly, so the manufacturer had to recall the units." The verb "to recall" also means to remember: "I don't recall what he was wearing." Or, "Do you recall the first time we met?"
