Another meaning of "speaker" is a person who speaks a certain language: "Some Spanish speakers are able to learn Portuguese and Italian more easily because the languages are similar." A "native speaker" is someone who grew up speaking a certain language: "He is a native speaker of Arabic, but he speaks English fluently." |
