Text | The word "stress," in this podcast, means the feeling of being worried, nervous, and anxious because one is under a lot of pressure: "Emergency-room doctors have very high-stress jobs." "Stress" can also mean emphasis, or something that one wants to draw other people's attention to: "His family puts a lot of stress on the importance of education."
