The phrase "behind the times" means old-fashioned or outdated, referring to something that is no longer used or is no longer popular: "The style of their living room is really behind the times, so their children are trying to get them to paint and buy new furniture." Finally, the phrase "past the time" describes something that is late or overdue: "It's past the time for you to go to bed!" |
