The verb "to trace" also means to copy a drawing by putting a thin piece of paper on top of it and drawing the same lines: "Did you draw that yourself, or did you trace it from someone else's work?" Finally, the verb "to trace" can mean to explain how something has changed over time: "This magazine article traces the development of the Internet over the past 10 years." |
