Or, "Can you discriminate between the calls of blue whales and other types of whales?" Finally, the phrase "to discriminate against (someone)" means to treat a group of people differently and unfairly based on some characteristic, especially gender, age, religion, skin color, or sexual orientation: "The company was found guilty of discriminating against certain applicants in its hiring practices." |
