Dickens Make Reader Invested Scrooge's Transformation Sarcastic Humour

Front How does Dickens make the reader be invested in Scrooge's transformation?
Back
However Dickens uses sarcastic humour which almost creates a paradox to his exaggerated misery as almost all of these lines are given to Scrooge.

E.g. “Every idiot who goes about with ‘Merry Christmas’ on his lips should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart”.

This may because the reader needs to be invested in Scrooge’s transformation to make sure the message of the text is not lost and can be applied to everyone.
