Memory – at birth mind is blank tablet (tabula rasa). Memory is affected by similarity of objects, differences (contrast), and contiguity (occur together in time & space).  Frequent items are better remembered (Frequency) and certain items are easier to remember (Ease).

Idea of catharsis, ladder of creation (creatures are from low to high in complexity), mind is located in the heart.
