Env Gp120 Gp41 Formed Cleavage Form Envelope Glycoproteins

The env gene of HIV (gp120 and gp41) is formed from the cleavage of gp160; gp120 mediates attachment to host CD4+ T cells, while gp41 facilitates fusion and entry.
