Marker Infection Period Hepatitis Serologic Anti Hbc  Antibody Hbcag

Anti-HBc can be IgM or IgG; IgM indicates acute/recent infection, while IgG indicates prior exposure or chronic infection. IgM anti-HBc might be the sole positive marker during the window period of infection.
