Ten Times Common Women Urethras Colonized Predisposing Factors

UTIs are ten times more common in women due to shorter urethras colonized by fecal flora. Other predisposing factors include obstruction, kidney surgery, catheterization, GU malformation, diabetes, and pregnancy.
