Cord factor, a mycoside found in virulent M.tuberculosis, causes "serpentine" cord-like growth by inhibiting neutrophils, destroying mitochondria, and inducing tumor necrosis factor release.
Kord faktörü (bir mikosit), özellikle virulent M.tuberculosis'te görülen, nötrofil inhibisyonu, mitokondriyal yıkım ve tümör nekroz faktörü salınımını tetikleyerek 'serpantin' kord benzeri büyümeye neden olan bir özelliktir.
