Lyme disease has three stages: Stage 1 presents with Erythema migrans (bull's-eye rash). Stage 2 can involve AV block and facial nerve palsy. Stage 3 may lead to chronic arthritis. Doxycycline is the primary treatment.
La enfermedad de Lyme, causada por Borrelia burgdorferi, tiene tres etapas. La etapa 1 se caracteriza por eritema migratorio (erupción en "ojo de buey"). La etapa 2 puede incluir bloqueo AV y parálisis del nervio facial. La etapa 3 puede manifestarse como artritis crónica. El tratamiento de elección es la doxiciclina.
