A semicolon (;) is used to separate related sentences that are not joined by a conjunction. It is also used before letters indicating enumeration or detailing.
فَاصِلَةٌ مَنْقُوطَة (؛) تُسْتَخْدَمُ لِفَصْلِ جُمَلٍ مُرْتَبِطَةٍ مَعْنِيًّا وَلَكِنْ لَا يُوجَدُ بَيْنَهَا حَرْفُ عَطْفٍ. وَتُسْتَخْدَمُ أَيْضًا قَبْلَ الْحُرُوفِ الَّتِي تُفِيدُ التَّفْصِيلَ.
