A sustainable plan, method, or system is designed to continue at the same rate or level of activity without any problems.
The basic idea of Small is Beautiful is that our economies in the world are big, big businesses, have become too big. And they are not sustainable anymore.
The American way of life is not sustainable. It doesn't acknowledge that there is a world beyond America.
Cutting prices or putting things on sale is not a sustainable business strategy. The other side of it is that you can't cut enough costs to save your way to prosperity.
