Idiom | Blind Leading the Blind |
---|---|
Example | Kurt, who spent his allowance in one day, is showing Bonnie how to budget her money. That's a case of the blind leading the blind! |
Meaning | the uninformed attempting to inform others |
Origin | This saying comes from a sentence in the King James Bible (Matthew 15:14), "And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." Today we use it to describe people who are not actually blind, but who don't know how to do something and are trying to explain it to other people who don't know how to do it either. |
