Al principio me extrañó suponer en él tal intención, ya que le creía un hombre ajeno a los prejuicios vulgares respecto a la elección de mujer, pero cuanto más consideraba la posición, educación, etc., de los interesados, menos censurable me parecía que realizasen un acto acorde con los principios que les fueran imbuidos desde la infancia y comunes a todos los de su clase, aunque yo no pudiera comprenderlos.
