Notes | In its discovery related function, -(으)니까 is used as a connective in sentences where the discovery in the second clause is preceded by an action expressed in the first clause. In such usage, -(으)니까 links two sequential actions rather than causes and effects. The discovery marker -(으)니까 generally translates as 'when'. -(으)니까 occurs after -아/어 보- and -다 보- principles in expressions denoting doing or trying something for the first time. In such sentences, the second clause usually describes a discovery or an opinion related to the experience. |
