Notes | The verb ending -(으)ㄹ래 can be understood as an informal 'will' or 'feel like' expressing a wish, desire, will, or an intention of the subject. Possible translations include 'want to', 'would like to', 'feel like (doing)' and so on. -(으)ㄹ래 does not express any politeness. It is mainly used in informal colloquial conversations among intimates. The honorific -(으)시 and the ending -요 can be added to form -(으)실래요 which can be used in situations when the speaker wants to express a hint of respect to the listener. -(으)ㄹ래 can be used only in the first (I, we) and the second (you) person expressions. -(으)ㄹ래 cannot be preceded by tense markers. |
