Front | 사람은 빵만 먹고살 수 없어요 |
---|---|
Back | Man cannot live on bread alone |
Notes | -만 corresponds to 'only' or 'just' in English. The particle excludes all other possible options and restricts the statement in its meaning only to the marked word. The -만 principle occurs after (and in some cases before) various particles. When used with the subject -이/가, object -을/를, or topic -은/는 markers, -만 appears followed by them forming -만이, -만을 or -만은. However, more commonly, -만 replaces these markers. |
