Notes | The -은/는 particle attaches to subjects and other sentence members. The principle marks the topic of conversation. It is also used for highlighting things in contrast or comparison. The less common function of -은/는 is emphasizing the marked constituent. The -은 and the -는 particle forms come after consonants and vowels, respectively. |
