| Notes | -기로 하- attaches to verbs and generally corresponds to 'decide to'. The pattern is comprised of the nominalizer -기 affixed by the instrumental particle -(으)로 and followed the 하다 verb. -기로 하- is mainly used in its past tense form -기로 했- to express decisions made in the past (before the moment of speaking). -기로 하- cannot be preceded by tense markers. |
