Notes The -(으)시겠어요? question pattern attaches to verb stems and corresponds to 'Would you mind/like to ...?'. It is used when suggesting something politely or when asking about the hearer's preference or intention.

-(으)시겠어요? combines the honorific marker -(으)시- with the -겠- principle used in polite offers and requests.

-(으)시겠어요? sounds more formal and polite than -(으)ㄹ래요? or -(으)실래요? conveying the same meaning.

When making a polite request to do something for the speaker's sake the -아/어 주시겠어요? ending structure is used.

-(으)시겠습니까? is the formal polite version of -(으)시겠어요?
