| Notes | -(으)ㄴ/는지 can be used twice or more times in the same sentence. Resulting phrases correspond to 'whether ... or (not) ...' English patterns. When used with verbs of asking, -(으)ㄴ/는지 has the same meaning as the quoted question ending -(느)냐고. -(으)ㄴ/는지 can occur in the sentence-ending position followed by the polite principle -요. Expressions with -(으)ㄴ/는지요? endings are polite indirect questions. |
