When adding -(으)~ principles, the conjugation is performed in two steps: (1) 으 is dropped; (2) ㄹ is dropped when it is left to be followed by ㄴ, ㅂ or ㅅ.
When adding principles that begin with -(으)ㄹ, such as -(으)ㄹ 때 and -(으)ㄹ게요, the -(으)ㄹ part is dropped and the principle attaches to the original stem (with ㄹ retained).
