Notes | While -아/어서 marks natural consequence,-(으)니까 is used to express subjective reasoning based on the speaker's own judgement. -(으)니까 is often used to express reasoning for the speaker's personal choice. The subjective reasoning expressed by -(으)니까 allows to use it in sentences where the second clause is a command, request, suggestion, or proposal. Consequential -아/어서 can only be used in statements. -(으)니까 cannot be used in expressions of apology or gratefulness. Unlike -아/어서, -(으)니까 can be affixed by tense markers and can be followed by the topic particle -은/는. |
