Front | 좋은 것 같지 않니? |
---|---|
Back | Doesn't it sound great? |
Notes | The general form of this very common pattern can be written as -[modifier] 것 같-. The structure expresses the supposition regarding the past/ present/ future situation and corresponds to 'it looks/sounds like' or 'it seems that'. Additionally, the pattern is used in statements when the speaker wants to sound less assertive by expressing the truth indirectly. The modifier can be any of the six principles (-(으)ㄴ, -는, -(으)ㄹ, -았/었을, -던, -았/었던). The modifier part is followed by the noun 것 ('thing', 'fact') which in turn followed by the 같다 adjective ('like', 'same', 'similar'). |
