Back | The book is different from the movie in many ways |
Notes | Expressions of comparison and contrast require the use of a particle conveying the meaning of 'with' or 'and'. All three principles -과/와, -하고, and -(이)랑 mean 'and' or 'with'. -하고 and -(이)랑 are viewed as spoken forms and tend to be used in casual situations. -(이)랑 sounds the most informal and should be avoided in more polite speech. -과/와 is a formal written form applied in formal structured speech. |
