Front | 점심 식사 같이 할까? |
---|---|
Back | Shall we have lunch together? |
Notes | In first-person ('I', 'we') subject sentences, -(으)ㄹ까 is added to verb stems to express an informal suggestion ('Shall I/we ...?', 'Why don't we ...?') or to ask for the listener's opinion ('Would you like ... ?'). In such usage, the subject is often omitted. The negative suggestion ('Shall I/we not ...?') can be expressed by using -지 말까. -(으)ㄹ까 suggestions do not have honorific variations; it is not recommended to use them in conversations with superiors. |
