| Notes | -아/어 있- is used with non-transitive (not requiring direct objects) verbs and only with those that describe actions leading to an end state. General examples of such actions are denoted by verbs of maintaining body position (standing, lying, etc.), transitioning into a distinct state (opening, removing, including, etc.) and verbs of motion towards an end point (come, go, etc.). It is possible to use -아/어 있- with passive verb forms. |
