Lord Raingo 1926 reflects his knowledge of powerful men like Lord Baverbook, and this work is a highly political novel as a novelist his reputation was enhanced by Riceyman Steps 1923 in which he again considered the lives of ordinary and undistinguished people, the subject for which he is chiefly remembered Enoch Arnold Bennett (27 May 1867 – 27 March 1931) was an English writer. He is best known as a novelist, but he also worked in other fields such as the theatre, journalism, propaganda and films. |
