Age Fossils Strata Explain Determined Period Time Sediment

The age of fossils can be determined by observing the rock layers (strata) in which they are found; deeper layers contain older fossils, establishing a timeline.

L'età dei fossili può essere determinata osservando gli strati di roccia (strati) in cui si trovano; strati più profondi contengono fossili più vecchi, stabilendo una sequenza temporale.

Front Explain how the age of fossils can be determined
Back Age of fossils:
  • Over period of time, sediment deposit forms different layers (strata) of rock which correspond to different geological eras
  • Within different strata - fossils different so sequence from oldest to youngest can be established
