Animal Body Genetic Environmental Factors Mass Describe Phenotype

Animal body mass exemplifies a phenotype influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. For instance, obesity can stem from diet, exercise, and disease (environmental factors) or an organism's genotype (genetic factors), or a combination of both.

Front Describe how animal body mass is an example of phenotype influenced by both genetic and environmental factors.
Back Animal body mass:
  • In many cases, obesity is a result of amount of food eaten/exercise/presence of disease - environmental factors
  • In some cases it can be due to genotype of an organism - genetic factors
  • Therefore animal body mass is determined by a combination of environmental and genetic factors
